Hello all,
My name is Steve, I've loved Pontiacs since about 1979. I was in the back seat of my friend's 1966 GTO w/a 4 speed, 389 tri-power. It turns out that this car was the one to try to beat back in High School, I still remember the sounds that car made that night.
Since then, I've owne a few Pontiacs, some fast, some not so fast, no particular order, but all have been fun:
'67 Firebird, Pontiac 350 w/4 speed
'67 LeMans, Pontiac 350 w AT (ran low 15s at ORP)
'65 Bonneville ragtop
'67 GTO .030 428 (ran mid 13s @ 104 MPH)
'67 400 Firebird, (ran mid to low 13s, 104-105.7 MPH, 9 MPG city/10 highway!) this is the car I joined the club with, way back around 1990. I had this car 11 years, put 4 engines in it and 5 transmissions. Guess I was a little hard on her! Sold it (in 2000) to get my first LS1.
'98 Trans Am, LS1, AT w/2.73 gears. (13.69 @ 103.5)
Currently have:
'68 LeMans convertible, 400 2bbl low compression 2 speed AT 2.52 rear gear (super slow, but looks good w/top down!)
'00 WS6, 6-speed (Too Fast) (12.89 @ 109.85, 28 MPG)
I've been married to Sondra for over 12 years now, 2 kids (Natalie was born in July 2002, Kyle was born in March 2005). We like to be outdoors, even if it is just our backyard. We do some vegetable gardening, and Sondra is always expanding her flower gardens with some help from me. We like to go camping, as evidenced by the above picture. No, I didn't tow it with Too Fast, we have a Jeep for that.
Here's a picture or Sondra, Natalie and Kyle, we were getting a Christmas tree and Santa gave us a ride to find the tree we wanted to cut:
