Awesome. Well one thing, atleast it is easier to get into the garage and spend time with it even though wife is not far away. One thing I have dealt with in past, always harder to get away across town to play, but if I am in my driveway or garage or shed then I can spend all the time I want there.
I used to ignore phone also, maybe thats why she never liked me to go. LOL

Also you can leave your cellphone in the house when you go to the garage to work on it.

How about a update. Rick H well I guess I should start from the beginning. I found this t/a on CL . I called about it, looked it over good. jacked it up to check the vin on the block , and for rust in the bad spots. it was a #'s match t/a with the Y6 auto trans 200hp W72. some history on it, the 1st owner hardly drove it. the 2nd guy drove it in high school and parked it when he went to collage. it sat for 10 years or so. till the 3rd guy got hold of it with plans of building a race car from it. but it sat for 8 years in his barn. here is some pics of it. OMG , dam the high school kid for this. the floor pan was in good shape except for the area by the heater core the under side was rusty. but not as bad as I thought. it had never been undercoated. I took a rag of thinner and wiped the firewall to try and see if GM had any markings on it from the assembly line. sure enough there was.

now for the roof. I dont like sun/moon roof's. it had to go. I had a fisher roof, but they didnt come out until 1978. so I started looking for a roof to swap. I found a camaro to do the roof swap. and then the next few days I got a call from a guy that had a 77 L78 t/a with a Hurst roof. it was in really bad shape. with some needed good parts. I picked it up for 100.00 I stripped it down, sold what was still good and made money from it ;D

Amazing to watch this transform into a cherished bird. Please keep posting updated pictures. It is nice to see a detail restore in progress, and you are very detailed with your pictures. It will help out some other birds to be resurrected hopefully. Maybe this winter I will look for a 75 to restore. I either want a 75 or a 79. But any second gen will do. Allthough I probably won't get one needing so much work. First I need to resurrect my 95 to be alot nicer.

thanks Mike, the fenders and door are at Aesthetic Finishers to get backed and glass beaded. I stripped them but there was to much surface rust on both inside and out. so they will bake them off and clean them up to look like new. here is a link with a video of the process www.afipowder.com/industrial-commercial-service/thermal-stripping/here is the before pic. I'll have the after pics is about 3 weeks.

Don't you just hate the waiting part when you send something off? I think that is one thing that keeps me from sending my TA off to be painted right now. Well that and we have this vacation thing planned for the first week of July and lack of funds. But I can't wiat to get the bird in for a new shiny suit. Gonna suck for that little bit of time strolling around in the wife's minivan. Think I am gonna have to cut the cat off it and add a CAI to it, just to kind of get a little of the rumble. And besides it has the same engine as the Mustangs in it. Wouldn't that be fun!!!

We go off road sometimes, the kids call it "bumping."
