I got this email from our president and I am sure most of the club members have also. I figured I would post it here as I know we get alot of guests that are in the club but would want to show their support.
Hello, all -
High Performance Pontiac is collecting emails from anyone who is interested in seeing GM reinstate their Pontiac line of vehicles. The goal is to collect several thousand emails and submit them to GM and any government official who may have a say in the domestic auto industry. With so many automakers benchmarking (read: copying) dated and underpowered Japanese sedans, we who appreciate responsive handling and acceleration need a choice beyond a Camaro but less expensive than BMW.
I have sent this message to everyone I know who either has a Pontiac or had one that they loved. In the interest of saving an American icon, I ask each of you to draft an email expressing your thoughts, sharing your stories and ask GM to bring back the one brand that dares to do things a little differently. Club members - please copy this and send it out to your clubs as you have the numbers HPP is needing.
I am attaching the letter I sent for your reference.
Please send your email to:
TomDeMauro@sorc.com
Make sure you title it "SAVE PONTIAC".
Thanks in advance for your effort. Yes, there are many more important things that require attention in this country, but an important part of our identity as Americans is our love of our cars. Pontiacs are among the most cherished ever - it is important that GM understands that.
