The Trans Am Nationals Committee is proud to announce that Pontiac Design Chief John Schinella will return to Dayton for the 2010 Trans Am Nationals car show. Mr. Schinella was touched by the dedication and love our participants have for the products designed on his watch and is looking forward to speaking with more owners this year. Also scheduled to appear along with Mr. Schinella is Pontiac designer Bill Davis whose contributions include the famous hood chicken & Trans Am Territory among others.
In addition to Mr. Schinella's appearance, we are pleased to announce that none other than Pontiac engineer Herb Adams and his son Matt will be attending this year. For those unfamiliar with Mr. Adams, it was due to his efforts to improve Firebird into a capable handling car that led directly to the birth of the Trans Am. Mr. Adams went on to found Herb Adams VSE (Very Special Equipment) through which performance suspension components for F-bodies were offered to the public. Matt has taken the reins and is in the process of reproducing many of these items today.
Mr. Schinella, Mr. Adams and Mr. Davis will present a seminar on Saturday, 8/28 to answer questions and tell stories about their experiences with Pontiac. It promises to be a great event for any and all fans of Firebirds. Register now for the 2010 Trans Am Nationals so you are sure to make the most of this incredible opportunity!

I just found him through his company website. I met with them in Detroit last month and got a joyride in the Contessa - whee! ;D

Just got my hotel reservations taken care of...cant wait. The next time you need a tag-along for a meeting like that don't hesitate to ask. Though I may have been embarrassed from the pee running down my leg out of excitement.

...so I should request that the Marriott put plastic sheeting down in the conference room during the Schinella/Adams/Davis presentation? ;D You got an 'exhalt' from me for being man enough to admit you'll pee yourself when you meet Herb... Bring the baby - he LOVES kids:

Though I may have been embarrassed from the pee running down my leg out of excitement. That is awesome. Why reserve hotel rooms? Pitch a tent and have some fun. Make a camping trip out of it. That is what I may do. Should be nice enough.

How was the Nationals? Anyone have any pictures I can add to the website? Can post here or email them to indycamaro@yahoo.com
I was still going to come and at last minute had to work Saturday. Missed all kinds of car shows this weekend and getting sick of this job. I haven't had much of a summer yet, but I guess since reports that the economy isn't rebounded I guess I should be thankful that our buisness is running us into the ground. 10 hour days 6 days a week is taking a toll though.
