Well I had to break down today and take my bird to the shop. Although I love to work on cars, time hasn't permitted me too. It has had a slight miss that finally developed into back firing and missing worse. Hoping to have it back tomorrow at lunch time.

Let's hope it is a simple plug wire issue, not something with the Opti-Spark, or a bad fuel pump. With the headers, the plug wires may have melted in a hard to see spot.

Still haven't got my car back yet. With the warm weather we had this week I am really missing it. And it sucks driving around in wife's durango. Push Gas pedal and 0-60 takes a week. No T-tops and doesn't look as cool. But wonder how cool it looks with half bald guy driving with T-tops off.

No don't think so. Think it is a combination of things. The intake elbow had a chunk missing underneath where it couldn't be seen. So with that and the build up in the intake of crud I took it to the mechanics, as it is under warranty. They ordered the intake elbow and haven't got it yet. And can't do much anything else till they get that and get it sealed up. Also I think they are going to have to replace the opti harness. Hoping it isnt the opti itself as I don't think it is covered under warranty.

Update: My car is supposed to be done tomorrow morning. They are changing the opti. They sent it to the pontiac dealer to get scanned and that is what the pontiac dealer said was wrong. While at Pontiac my car had never been taken in for the recall on it so they ordered the part and replaced it. The only thing I can find on recall list for 95 T/A is steering box, so that will be nice if they changed that. I was going to soon anyway. Now waiting for the new opti to get installed and the new harness.
Then when she gets home, with in the next week or so I plan on taking off the intake and cleaning and painting it a nice royal blue. Time to get some color in this nice piece of machinery.

Yeah I got it back a few weeks ago. Running alot bettter, but still has somewhat of a miss. I believe I have leaky intake gasket on it. From what I have been finding out, on the LT1's they use a gasket on the left and right side and then use silicone sealant on the back and front. Being the car is 15 years old I am thinking that this may have deteriorated away. They say that a sign of this is a rough idle and and oil on the underbody of the car. I have a slight oil leak and was going to tackle this problem as soon as this nasty wet stuff goes away. I want to take the intake off and get it all cleaned up and painted anyway so this just gives me a reason to speed the process up.
They replaced the intake elbow, the water pump, and the opti. I still need to find a new opti harness. It is turning into somewhat of a daily driver project, but I love this car.
